We have been asked to make a planning application for a site with a long history of refusals in Hatfield Peverel, Essex. Our proposal places two single-storey houses, with mirrored plans, within a walled garden. There is a protected communal entrance yard. All of the rooms in each dwelling open onto a private planted courtyard. The enclosed nature of the buildings shields the occupants from the impact of the adjacent roads, whilst still allowing secluded outside spaces.
