MISSION HOUSE
This project re-purposes a temperance mission hall as a family home and studio for a couple who are multi-disciplinary designers. The listed structure was neglected and suffered from unsympathetic additions, having been used as a plastics moulding factory for the past fifty years. The proposal seeks to insert volumes that can accommodate domestic life, whilst lightly touching the original fabric and celebrating the dramatic spaces that have been uncovered.
